I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Pacific Insight Electronics (Nelson, BC) in Jan 2012
Interview
Very cookie cutter interview. I was the only sane person to apply for the upgrade so I pretty much had the job already. The interview was more of a regular chat with the HR person and the procuring director to make sure I was willing to commit to the job for more than three months after they trained me.

I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Pacific Insight Electronics (Wixom, MI) in Aug 2015
Interview
got email from the senior electronic designer and went to interview; the interview was different but fun. He showed me around the branch, specifically the cool lightings and electronics, then went to his office and showed me what I'd be dealing with once I get offer.
Afterwards, he asked for my availability during the semester, and I emailed the schedule. Heard back after 2 weeks ( i guess they were preparing for welcoming and setting up my place), and had quick short phone conclusion interview with some more details about the position and if i had any other questions etc..
a week later got offer letter, negotiated, and then started from there :)
