      Product Manager Interview

      Mar 27, 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at OxBlue in Dec 2024

      Interview

One of the best interview processes I have done. No AI HR, real people who contact you. 3 Interviews: 1 phone screen, 1 in-person with hiring managers, 1 final round with hiring managers + CEO. HR was incredibly responsive with the entire process: applied on LinkedIn, HR texted me, kept me updated on the process, thorough with references (3 previous managers), and the hiring managers were very clear with timelines on response. All in all, from initial contact --> accepting offer was around 1 month. They kept things moving.

      Product Manager Interview

      May 21, 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at OxBlue in Apr 2024

      Interview

-Personality Exam -Aptitude Test -Phone Interview -In Person Interview I interviewed with OxBlue for its product manager position. After taking the equivalent of an ACT/SAT test, a personality test exam, and conducting a phone interview, I was moved on to the next part of the interview process where I finally got to meet with the folks who would be my bosses if I got the position. The interview was great! The individuals who interviewed me seemed like awesome folks who asked good questions and we talked for around an hour. The negativity in this review lies within their HR department. About a week after the first interview, I was told via text message that I was moving on to the next round of interviews "in a week or so" by my HR liaison throughout the interview process. I was told by the folks who interviewed me that there would be one more interview if I was selected to move forward, so that all checked out. More than a week goes by and I hear nothing. I contacted my HR department liaison, who said she's out of the office and I need to contact someone else in HR, which I do. After two weeks from the "you're moving on to the next part of the interview process message", I learn from the other HR employee I was told to contact that an offer was extended to another candidate. If they found someone they liked more, that's fine, but don't say you have another interview and then fail to come through with that. This is not the way you treat prospective candidates for jobs. You're dealing with people's lives here. The tech job economy is awful. OxBlue did a terrible job by basically LYING to me and saying they want to move forward in the interview process and then not doing so. I should not have to reach out to see what the next steps are when I was told I'd get another interview and then be told an offer went out to another candidate without even a chance to fight for the position like I was told I'd get the opportunity to. The HR individual I initially corresponded with also made a bunch of typos, and messaged me with the wrong name once during our correspondence which called the professionalism of the company into question from the get-go. I guess I was right to make that assumption. Tread lightly.

Hi, I'm the Head of HR, and I appreciate your feedback. I want to extend my sincerest apologies for how your situation was handled. It was never our intention to mislead you. I understand the specifics of your case, and although this does not excuse what happened, I'd like to explain that the team had initially planned to conduct another round of interviews that included you. Unfortunately, during your recruiter's absence, the team made a decision to go a different direction and move forward with another candidate. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We are committed to continuous improvement and hope to learn from your feedback.
