The interview consists of a phone call from HR, an online test to respond in 24 hours and a face to face interview.
I read about the company before and I couldn't find anything related to the interviews, so that's why I am writing mine to share my experience with others.
The interview is all about the exercise, so be careful what do you send to them. The simpler the better, if you can write an MVC app as simple as writing one app for selling your grandma's cookies, do so. No fancy stuff, that was the part that was wrong with my application, because there was a lot of confusion and a lot of interview time to explain basic things. I focused my test using the SOLID principles, using SRP, OCP and IOC. They are a startup and for my understanding they have struggled to get the right people/architects on board, so even concepts like single responsibility and Dependency Injection can confuse them. And also other simple things like managing a time variable using timespan instead of date caused a lot of confusion too. I have worked before for big banks and concepts like Pipeline architecture, network banking caused even more confusion. Be simple, no fancy stuff, and you will be on board.
I recommend this job to people new to the banking environment, a lot to learn here because they are starting from scratch. But if you have a career in finance or banking, you will be going backwards in your career. My feedback for them is that they need to be more professional, and also they need to have a better idea of what they want to achieve, they don't have very clear goals. For confidentiality I won't expose any information here, but they didn't have a clear answer for many of the questions I asked about the product, not even a roadmap of the product in the next months/years. People think about their careers and their future, so letting people know where they will be in months/years is crucial to get the right people on board and the commitment you need from them. I wish them the best for their product, if it ends up in the hands of the right management / architects, I am sure it will be a great product.
Good luck and I hope my review can help you
