Phone interview/video interview and then onsite interview with PI's and research team. Offer received about a week after the onsite interview. Research assistants did the bulk of the interviewing questions and introduced me around the lab, felt like a meet and greet with some difficult questions.

Initial interview with the PI, Senior Research Associate, or Lab Manager. General introductions of myself, what the lab does/purpose, and roles. Secondary interview included seeing the lab space and meeting the members.

There was first an interview with the PI over the phone with a few basic questions about the position, then an interview with team members over webex delving into what is expected, projects, and diversty + equity. Relatively communicative throughout.

Interview
Met with professor via video call followed by unpaid visit to the lab (which required travel). Messages were exchanged via email only. I’d assume this varies depending on who you’re looking to work with.
