Interview
Didn't get very far. Asked to complete a few assessments which took roughly 30 minutes. Then rejected a week later. I wish I had that 30 minutes back instead of wasting my time.

Interview
While I was disappointed to not receive a job offer, this hiring process was beyond ridiculous. I initially applied to the role in early December 2024 and this process did not wrap up until March 2025. I went through the following process only to be rejected for the role:
1) An assessment on cognitive aptitude and employee personal profile
2) Interview with HR/Recruiting
3) Interview with Hiring Manager
4) Technical Interview where was assessed on SQL skills
5) Another meeting with HR/Recruiting
6) Practical Assessment/Case Study
7) Interview with CS Manager
8) Interview with VP
9) Interview with Sr. Team Member (culture-related conversation)
10) Interview with Hiring Manager (again) to present case study/assessment
Not noted was the month-long hiatus that occurred between step 4 and 5. For those keeping score, this was 2 assessments and 8 interviews. While I was appreciative of the conversations that I had with the different members of the team (who were all incredibly nice), this many steps for an IC role is ridiculous. I firmly believe that the company is composed of fantastic people but if their hiring process was a massive red flag for me.
Again, I didn’t receive the offer for the role, but I’m really thankful that I didn’t, as I can’t imagine how many layers of bureaucracy must exist to get anything accomplished internally if external hires are put through this many steps.
If I can provide any piece of feedback to OMG, it would be to significantly reduce the volume of interviews needed to be considered for an opportunity, because this was ridiculous.
