I arrived at the office and discovered that the hiring manager was out sick. However, I did do a half hour phone interview with him in the conference room. Then I met with 3 different people for 1 on 1 interviews. I think perhaps 2 were manager level positions within the finance department and 1 was a senior analyst level. Each interviewer asked me to describe my past work experience and gave me behavior-type questions. The atmosphere was friendly, casual, and relaxed in every interview.
A couple of days later, I returned for a 1 hour interview with the hiring manger. I was asked to describe my work experience and interests in more detail and answered some more behavioral-type questions. These behavior-type questions seemed to be more related to whether or not my personality would fit with the group. (Questions like: Tell me about a time when you had a conflict with your manager.)
After my interviews, I emailed and called HR and the hiring manager several times to find out about the status of the position. I never heard back from anyone. I was very surprised by the lack of professionalism of this company and found this to be extraordinarily rude.
