Very disappointing screening experience.
I only had an initial call with the recruiter and decided not to move forward based on how the company and role were presented. I joined the call two minutes late due to a camera issue and apologised, but the response was quite cold and focused on punctuality rather than the conversation.
Throughout the call, there was a strong emphasis on questioning the length of time I spent in previous roles, suggesting it could be viewed negatively. When I asked for more details about the position, I was told everything was already in the job description and that I should avoid asking general questions and instead âdo my research.â
I was also told the company avoids using too many internal communication channels to prevent employees from getting distracted. When I asked about company culture, I was told they donât really discuss it because the company is remote and therefore âthere isnât one.â
I cannot speak for the company overall, but the way the role and environment were presented came across as quite discouraging and gave me the impression of a very rigid work environment.
