The initial interview questions were standard and simple enough. The complete chaos and lack of professionalism was alarming. I was contacted by two different recruiters to set up the phone interview. I responded to both. The second scheduled my interview and confirmed the time, date, and phone number. 5 mins. past my interview time I got an email with a Teams meeting link. No phone call. I accepted the Teams meeting to then get a phone call and was told we can't do the phone interview and to join Teams with my camera off. So why are you calling my confirmed phone number? There was a random person observing and then the recruiter. The recruiter starts the interview saying she will cut me off if she feels anything is off track and to keep answers short. I answer the questions and they insist on a salary number request. I ask about budget. They won't answer. I then try to ask a couple questions about the role. The recruiter says this interview is not for asking questions. Only candidates who advance can ask any questions. I think I'm being punked. Worst interview experience of my life. I did not receive an offer and would not have accepted another interview regardless.
