      Interview

This was unlike any interview or assessment day I’ve been to before. The whole day felt disorganised and somewhat pretentious. What was supposed to be a small interview of around 5 people turned out to be over 25, where we were shoved in a small room with some people having to stand. The written assessment was about an hour long and you could research on your phones but it was basically a game of who had the most expensive AI and not about anyone with a true understanding of ROI or other various company questions. The person next to me had access to an expensive AI software which answered the whole thing for them, and they got through to the next round. Again, not thought through. At the feedback where around half of the people got cut, the sales manager actually said only SOME of you should be in sales but not this kind of sales (as if the day was at all an accurate representation of the role, or allowed anyone the space to really show their skills). I spoke to multiple people outside who felt the day was somewhat humiliating. They should’ve planned to do different rounds narrow down what they were looking for (which was clearly someone more academic and not just that salesy personality), before making people come in to be told they shouldn’t be in sales? A very weird place, most people I spoke (even those who got through to the next round) said it was a weird and not a thought out interview process.
