      Account Manager Interview

      Apr 26, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Omnicare (New York, NY)

      Interview

After submitting my resume I did receive a call from the recruiter and did a short phone interview. Unfortunately there was for me way too much time between my interview with her in hearing back as to whether or not I would the move forward in the process. The hiring manager is what what's the holdup and he took forever, it was about 3 weeks before I was even scheduled for another phone interview but this time with him. Long and short of the story is I dream my interview with him over the phone I was not getting a good vibe from this guy. He was very awkward and do something about him didn't sit right with me and I felt immediately that this was not someone I want to work for. I've wanted to work for Omnicare because they have a good reputation as a company and I admire them and really wanted the position but realized I did not want to work for this man. Upper management realty needs to know what is going on with the people that report to them. This guy should not be a district manager or whatever his title was. And knowing how he knows that except the people he interacts with when he interviews them, they should know that he drags his feet when during the hiring process and, that he's a poor interviewer. It really makes me wonder how he got the job and that's how bad it was and had never experienced that in all my years of being in the workforce which is been plenty! The key I believe is keeping the candidates engaged during the process. There should never be that much time between communications if there is an interest in the candidate. That's how you lose really good people and I can say confidently that this is definitely their loss because I will not accept the job if offered.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

He didn't really ask me any questions other than going through my resume and asked me about each position. This was such a poor interview --I hung up feeling that way and I feel that way dreaming should you and I've never experienced that before.
