      College Algebra Instructor Interview

      Oct 22, 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Orem, UT
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ology (Orem, UT) in Aug 2013

      Interview

The best way to get hired here (or anywhere really) is to be referred by a current employee. I just went into the office one day and handed them a resume letting them know I'd love to work there. After that they scheduled an interview with me. I had to prepare a math concept that I would teach in the first interview. Once I got the second interview, they provided me with a list of concepts in advance that I needed to be prepared to teach during that interview. If you have people skills and know your stuff then you should do fine. This company does receive a lot of applicants and is picky about who they hire. So if you pass both interviews and are offered a job then you should feel pretty good about yourself.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

If you're going in for the 2nd interview, just make sure you really study out each of the concepts. If you're unprepared for any of those, then that will be the most difficult question for you. I didn't feel like there were any unexpected questions when I interviewed.
