I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at OfferUp
Interview
There are 2 phone screen interview then following a onsite interview. Initially the recruiter contacted me fast and we had a brief chat about the hiring process and resume. Then scheduling the phone interview takes about a week. The phone interview was difficult. It was started from a question related to system design and then some implementation. But the interviewer is encouraging and willing to give some hints.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at OfferUp (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2018
Interview
One round phone interview one 5 round onsite interview in seattle and one phone interview after onsite. Question is not hard if you have strong algorithm and data structure knowledge. But I don't get offer which is very strange. Maybe they used up all their Q1 headcount. Hope offerup becomes better and better.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why offer up? Some behavior questions. Some traditional algorithm questions OOD and system design
Thanks for taking the time to interview with OfferUp. We know it takes a lot of time in preparation and a time commitment away from your current employer. As you had proposed OfferUp has not used up "all their Q1 headcount" however we look at numerous data points during each round of interviews to make the best hiring decision possible for each role. Our apologies that at this time it did not equate to a fit. However we hope that you consider us in the future if you are still interested in OfferUp. We have a general 6 month rule for candidates to "revisit" OfferUp and interview with us again.
