I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Observe (CA) (San Mateo, CA) in Jan 2025
Interview
A recruiter reached out to me over email and put me in touch with their interview coordinator. They had a standard Silicon Valley interview loop, with a technical phone screen, followed by a virtual on-site. What was surprising about the interview questions was that they often had a little concurrency twist. I can only assume that Observe has a lot of important code that uses channels, so they want engineers who are unafraid of CSP.
First round was a simple technical round, it went pretty good, the interviewer was a staff engineer or senior engineer at the company. Second round was with another engineer, but it was more of a behavioral round. I thought it went pretty well, and the interviewer said he thought it went well also. However after the second round they ghosted me.

Interview
I was contacted by the recruiter.
The recruiter seemed unfriendly and not really interested in tell me about the company and not very excited at all. Mind you this recruiter contacted me and told me he was excited about my great background. I am not surprised that are reviews about the company's lack of diversity. It shows through their hiring process.
