Interview
Had to complete a personality and IQ test along with the interview process. A large part of the interview focused on the results of the personality test. During the interview, I felt that they seemed disengaged and had already decided not to move forward with my application. I received a rejection the next morning and was ignored when I asked for feedback.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at OJ Electronics (Sønderborg) in May 2024
Interview
The interview process was very friendly and attentive, until I made a mistake. I've been exhausted due to over an year of overwork at my current job, 10~12 hours on a daily basis, and my exhausted mind played a trick on me: I set for 10am an alarm for an interview with HR due 9am.
So, I opened my computer 9h40am, just to learn my mistake and that I've missed the interview and left both HR and tech lead waiting. I explained my mistake and apologised immediately, of course, although not entering in personal unecessary details,
The hiring team, fair enough, decided to exclude me from the selection process. Nevertheless, the tone of the last contact was quite awkward. The HR wrote "I am not sure I understand what the problem really was on your side", even though I mentioned I was exhausted -- hence the mistake. Then, "I would therefore expect that you would get in touch (again) if you were in doubt (,,,). So, and assessing all behavior from each candidate as relevant, we have decided not to reschedule your interview". So it seems that an exhausted mind making mistakes is beyond some companies' HR comprehension, besides exhaustion suddenly becoming a trait of character of sorts.
So, I just wanted to share the experience, since I believe it speaks a lot about the company's culture after all.

Interview
I applied for the position on March 7th 2022 and received an automatic reply that it could take 2 to 3 weeks to hear back from them. On March 9th, the HR Director sent me an interview invitation and a link to a 30 minutes logical test to be performed at home. The trial had 80 questions, and it was done in my native tongue. It also had an expiring day.
The interview was held at the Headquarters in Sønderborg, and the Manager for the position accompanied the HR Director. They say it could take 2 to 3 hours.
The talk was amicable; they allowed me to talk and did pertinent questions. I had a small task to perform.
After that, I was invited to come back and do a more profound test. The Product Manager joined this step, and I could finish this task at home.
I passed the knowledge test and was then invited to perform a Personality test with 220 questions to be answered in 30 minutes.
They invited me for the last interview, where we would go through the test findings. It was a fantastic talk, and they were really human and interested in what you had to say.
During this last talk, they were honest with me by saying they had another candidate just arriving, so they also needed to consider them.
Two days later, and to my luck, I received a call from the Hiring Manager saying they had chosen me. They sent the contracts on April 1st, and I started on 2nd May.
The whole process took almost a month, and it might seem like a long period, but it is for a good reason. They don't rush things, so they are sure they will find the perfect fit.
