I applied online. I interviewed at OEC Group (Rosedale, NY) in May 2017
Interview
I had a phone screen, was invited to a second round. It was a good conversation with the HR manager and the HR coordinator. Found out they checked my reference the following week and was invited to a third round interview with the president of the office. During the interview, I noticed he was very aloofed. Noticed this was his first time reading my resume as he didn't know anything about HR (like ATS, HRIS Sourcing) and I had to explain to him about it. The first question he asked me was "did I speak Mandarin Chinese". I was kind of taken back from it, I notice 75% of the staff are Chinese but I don't think it a required skillset to be a recruiter. I said not so well but I speak Cantonese better. The question that got me peeved was the salary requirement question. He asked me how much I am seeking. I told him I researched on payscale.com and recruiters in NYC may a mid range around $53K so I looking around there. He immediately said it was out of their range. Ended the interview and did not want to ask me if I had questions for him. I was upset because I don't know why they would waste my time to make me conduct 3 interviews and do my reference just to let me know their pay is out of their range and the way the president act was very unprofessional.

Interview
I was called by the person in charge. I did get the call for the time that I was scheduled for. She was also nice enough to ask if this was a good time to talk or should she reach out a little later.
