As always for a scientist - it's all about who you know. I asked to work for this lab, then interviewed and gave a presentation. I did have to submit three recommendations as well, but that was the extent of the hiring and interview process for me.

The interview process was quick and smooth. The work was regarding with lot of opportunities. The environment is pretty and easy to access with a variety of instruments provided to accomplish tasks. I would likely recommend this place.

The project manager emailed about an in-person interview (no phone interview), and it was a panel-style interview. Overall, it was fair with challenging questions about my experience and how I've worked with people in the past.
