I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Columbia, MO)
Interview
I was tracked down online and told they would forward my info to their hiring manager to “see what opportunities” they have for me at NWM. I knew ahead of time the financial rep position was a stressful joke from some colleagues so I avoided it like the plague when it came up as a possibility. That pretty much ended the interview because they said they’re only interested in hiring financial reps. Recruiter was really friendly but you could tell they were just trying to scrape up some more of these poor financial reps to barely pay commissions to. Bullet dodged.

Question 1
What made you interested in the financial rep position?
There were four or five interviews, if you count the meeting with my future mentor. There were also a few personality assessments. Lots of paperwork. The finance industry is tightly regulated.
The first interview was easygoing and went fairly well. We talked a little on myself and what northwestern was all about. Because they wanted to see how I could fit in to their team and what I would bring.
