I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual in Feb 2023
Interview
The interview itself went smoothly. However, the information I was given proved this was definitely a pyramid scheme; They asked how many contacts I had in my phone to use as leads to sell their life insurance. They asked me about my finances, specifically if I had enough money to "keep me afloat" for a couple of months. (If anyone asks this- RUN.) Because I hesitated to answer personal questions like these, they worried I wasn't ready and sent me a test to "prove my readiness." I passed the test but didn't send my answers after looking at other Glassdoor reviews. This company is a scam. It is commission only with no base pay. Interview elsewhere- you're worth more than that.

Question 1
Do you have at least 100 contacts in your phone to use as leads?
There were four or five interviews, if you count the meeting with my future mentor. There were also a few personality assessments. Lots of paperwork. The finance industry is tightly regulated.
The first interview was easygoing and went fairly well. We talked a little on myself and what northwestern was all about. Because they wanted to see how I could fit in to their team and what I would bring.
I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Greenville, SC)
Interview
The process was smooth and straight forward. A lot of behavioral based questions, but relaxed and low stress. First phase is a phone screening followed by a teams or in person meeting.
