I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Norfolk Southern (Atlanta, GA) in Sep 2019
Interview
Begin with a video interview introduction with (4) basic questions. The interview was thorough. Start off in a 45 minute-1 hr briefing sessions with two people from that department. They give you the run down on the company, salary, performance promotions, day-to-day duties, and building a career with the company. Then, you go to two interviews with 4-5 people in each interview who will drill you on each point listed on your resume. Be prepared to be asked the same questions in each interview. Try your best to match your previous experience to everything they are looking for in the job description. Pay attention to the underlying questions as well. Then, you will sit with an account analyst supervisor and then an account analyst. You will then go to lunch with some account analysts, who of course will report back your behaviors and what they think of you.
The interview consisted of Behavioral interview questions along with an overview of the company and its internal processes. Asked questions about work ethic and how we work in teams. The company manager explained the duties on the job.
The interview was virtual over Teams and was behavior and resume based. They were flexible with scheduling and offered very honest insights into professional development, workplace culture, and role expectations.
