I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (New York, NY) in Mar 2020
Interview
My interview was conducted via telephone due to COVID-19. When the woman called she immediately stated she was annoyed because she was not accustomed to interviewing in this manner and her abrasive demeanor made me extremely uncomfortable. No questions were asked about what I have done before or what I have to offer NYP. I was simply a call she was forced to make and it was clear she had no intention of considering me as a potential candidate for the position. It was difficult to envision the type of nurse she had been throughout her career because my entire interaction with her was so disparaging and stomach-turning. The ENTIRE phone call from start to finish was eleven minutes and was the most godawful experience I have ever had while searching for employment. I expected so much better from New York Presbyterian - that they allow someone like this to treat people the way she does is incomprehensible.
