I applied for a position with this company on August 18th. I don't hear a peep from them until they randomly called me on November 4th for an initial interview. When I picked up the phone I thought it was just one of my parents doctor's calling to confirm an appointment. To my surprise it was a phone screening for this position. I was shocked. It had been so long I didn't even remember applying for the position. I even went so far as to ask the interviewer what position it was I had applied for. I wasn't prepared. I was nervous. I should have asked the interviewer to call back at another time so I could prepare. But because I was nervous I went through with it. Our conversation lasted a whopping 6 minutes. I get an email a couple days later which said they were going in another direction.
Now, if I had went into the interview prepared and still not received the position I wouldn't be upset. I would have done my best and came up short. But I know I wasn't prepared. I know I didn't give my best. And its super frustrating that I lost out on a full time job that I was more than qualified for because I blew a 5 minute interview. I am so upset and frustrated about the whole situation. I don't think I will ever apply to work for this company ever again. I don't think I received a fair shake.
