I applied online. I interviewed at Neutraderm (Chatsworth, CA) in Mar 2013
Interview
Initially screened by the receptionist by phone. First question was about the commute to Chatsworth. If driving there is an issue, do not bother. She went on to ask basic sales questions. The emphasis was on cold calling. You must be comfortable speaking to doctors, or decision makers all day. This position requires you to make hundreds of phone calls a day. It can take a couple of months before you make your first sale. One of the girls was very excited because she landed her first sale in a couple of weeks, a record. But when I met her I knew why. She was quite a persuasive talker. Perfect natural sales ability.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
During the phone interview, I was asked if I preferred a long sale cycle, or short one. She also asked "What is better, a quality product, or quality service." If you know anything about sales, you know they are both important, especially in terms of longevity.
