I interviewed at Nashville Public Library (Nashville, TN) in Oct 2022
Interview
The interview took place 6 months after I applied, which was not ideal. I ended up getting offered the job, but could not accept the offer due a change in personal circumstances.

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Nashville Public Library (Nashville, TN) in Nov 2021
Interview
I was contacted by a third party for hire to work at the Nashville Public Library. I had two phone interviews and no in-person interviews. It was a very easy process.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Nashville Public Library (Nashville, TN) in Jan 2016
Interview
I found the position posted online and applied. The position was only posted for about a week, which made me suspect there was an internal candidate. Even so, I was called in for an interview about a month after I applied. I had two interviews about 2 weeks apart, both of which were very similar. They included a panel and some average questions. The whole process took quite a bit of my time and energy. Follow-up notes to the panelists (thanking them) went unanswered. Then about a week later, I received an automated e-mail from an HR person I had never met, informing me that I did not get the job. I found this rather impersonal, and frankly, disrespectful. I've been turned down for a lot of jobs, but I've always been treated with sympathy and provided a reason why they went with another candidate. NPL made me feel truly unappreciated. I found out later that they hired internally. If they had no interest in hiring from the outside, they could have spared me a lot of turmoil.
