I had a very positive experience with my job interview. The two people who conducted the interview took plenty of time and were very helpful and friendly. They asked the usual questions, but also had some thought-provoking ones that raised my blood pressure a little. I appreciated that these and other questions generated a lively discussion about the newspaper and how I could contribute. The newspaper is in the downtown area and the two took me on a brief tour of the downtown, showed me around the newspaper and, overall, conveyed a great love and appreciation of their work and the newspaper. I didn't get a job offer, the demeanor and friendliness of the two people who interviewed me made me hopeful that the newspaper would be a good place to work and the two people who interviewed me would be good people to work for.. My only complaint is that I didn't hear back from them for several weeks.Another concern is that one of the people who interviewed me said he hadn't looked over my resume so I had to go over everything in detail. He read my clips extensively, however. Overall, it was a positive experience.
