      Junior .NET Developer Interview

      Dec 5, 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Diego, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at MultiTracks.com (San Diego, CA) in Aug 2021

      Interview

The first interview was with the head of HR, who seemed very nice. She asked me some questions about myself and it was a very casual conversation. She told me at the end of this interview that they will be sure to let me know as soon as possible if I’m moving forward in the interview process, and also if I am not since they know I’m probably interviewing other places too. The second interview was a take home challenge which was much more difficult than I expected for a Junior position. I don’t think any new college grad could have done this assessment because I don’t think many Computer Science students learn how to creat REST APIs with C#\.NET\Visual Studio. The job description also said you didn’t need any experience with .NET because they had great mentors to help you. It sounded like an entry level position for a new college grad, but that assessment was definitely looking for someone with a good amount of experience. My biggest complaint, however, is that this company claims to be a Christian company yet they lied to me. They never let me know if I was moving forward after the second interview. I followed up I think 3 times and never heard a single word back. They completely ghosted me and went against their word. There is very much a lack of integrity in this company.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Connect to a database with Visual Studio, then create a REST API.
