They are looking for someone to build an infrastructure from a scratch. Unfortunately they are approaching the wrong person. The position is basically asking you to integrate all their various data points (such as SAP databases) with their vendor so they could detect any changes in their supply chain a real time. When I heard the job description, I had an impression they were trying to fit an IT department into one person, so I told them I am not suitable for the position. Well, if you look at the company, there is no CTO at all, so anyone who got this position is most likely to be frustrated. It's not an easy task to accomplish.
