      Sales Manager Interview

      Apr 13, 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Ahmedabad
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Motadata (Ahmedabad) in Apr 2026

      Interview

Very Disappointing and Emotionally Draining Experience I don’t usually write reviews like this, but my experience with Motadata left me genuinely disappointed. I went through multiple rounds of interviews and successfully cleared discussions with senior leadership like VP, COO and Head of HR. I was given a clear indication of moving forward, including a joining date, which gave me confidence that things were finalized. At that point, I had other opportunities in hand, but I chose to let them go because I was genuinely interested and even HR insisted that now that we have given you an offer, you can reject the other offers. I was happy. The next day there was a small presentation along with the CTC they wanted to offer. When I tried to negotiate slightly on compensation - something I believe is normal and expected from any candidate in this world. The discussion went on hold for 2 days, But later I was asked to go through another round with the CEO. This was surprising, especially after everything had already been discussed. That interaction did not feel respectful and I was told that I was money minded. In my entire career, and even in negotiations - it felt so worst and uncomfortable. After waiting and following up for two days, I was informed that my application had been rejected. It’s difficult to explain how frustrating that feels: After clearing multiple rounds After being given confidence about the offer After letting go of other opportunities I strongly feel that candidates deserve better clarity, respect, and consistency - especially at final stages of the hiring process. I hope the company reflects on this and improves how it handles candidates in the future.
