I applied online. I interviewed at Morningside Translations (Royal Tunbridge Wells, England) in Sep 2022
Interview
The first stage consisted of a phone interview about your background, the second one a test translation, if test translation was positive, you would have an interview with managing directors, not very difficult
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Morningside Translations (New York, NY) in Apr 2021
Interview
There was a 3-step process. First a phone-interview which took around 10 minutes and then an interview via Zoom with three interviewers asking questions. Finally, I received two test files I had to translate. For one, I was given a longer deadline. The second file had to be completed within a very short time frame.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Morningside Translations in Jul 2021
Interview
I originally applied for a Project Manager position, but when the position was filled HR asked if I'd like to apply for the Project Coordinator position, I accepted.
Firstly I had a teams audio call with someone from HR for around 30 mins. Standard questions asking about my organisation skills, experience with CAT tools etc.
After this I had a video call with the Senior Manager and Senior Project Manager. This interview however felt a bit odd, questions were being asked just for the point of asking them, there was no real flow and I could not gauge their reactions at all.
Once the video call was over, they invited me for a third interview with the director of translation services who, as I found out later, was only there for another opinion for the Senior Manager (who clearly needed to be more decisive). This interview felt a lot better than the other two and questions were asked based on my answers rather than from a list.
Unfortunately after being put through three interviews I was not offered the post. And when I simply asked why I didn't get the position so I could improve for next time I was told that it's company policy not to provide feedback on interviews.
