The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MongoDB in Oct 2022
Interview
Applied on company website. After HR round, did a phone interview then started the on-site round. The on-site was a coding interview which I proposed a solution and agreed with the interviewer on my solution, but could not finish the implementation on time. The second was a technical interview with the engineering director on databases. The interview was interactive and took 15 longer than scheduled 1 hour interview. After finishing the on-site the feedback was rejection! The reason is that I had a strong technical background but my answers were more DevOps oriented!!! I am completely surprised, a database guy with DevOps experience is a negative thing and brings no value! I have been disappointed by the feedback.

Database and distributed log processing questions, partitioning, and distributed systems general questions
Interviewer had a particular solution in mind that took a different approach from my own. My solution was algorithmically correct but not one that they were familiar with and preferred a non-closed form solution.
