The interview process had three rounds. The first was an initial screening where I talked about my work authorization (OPT) and relocation needs. I also discussed my experience and how it matched the job description. After that, I had an interview with the hiring manager, and then I was selected for a final panel interview.
After the panel interview, I was told that they don’t hire OPT candidates and don’t offer relocation. I was surprised because I had already mentioned both these things in the first round. It would have saved time and effort on both sides if this was made clear earlier in the process.
The team was friendly, and the interviews were professional, but I wish the communication about hiring policies had been clearer from the start.
