I applied online. I interviewed at Mode Analytics (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2017
Interview
Interviewing at Mode Analytics was one of the most pleasant and transparent experiences I had while job hunting. I was told very clearly what the interview process, salary expectations and best practices were on the first call.
My process included an initial phone interview, short take home project and in person interview with several team members. Take home project expectations were clearly set and the project did not take more than one hour. My in person interview process lasted about two hours and concluded with a company lunch. Overall the process was very positive.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Mode Analytics (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2015
Interview
Interview process went fairly quickly. There was a traditional first phone screening (~15 minutes) with standard questions (why Mode, tell me about your current role, etc.). After the phone screening, I was brought on site ~5 days later for 2-3 hours. For the in-person interview, I met with 3 members of the sales team (SDR, AE, Director). These questions were heavily based on sales numbers, current workflow, handling stressful situations, goals, etc.
The final meeting was with the CEO. This conversation really drove home culture fit, growth, clear path of company, and turned into more of a conversation, rather than question/answer.
