I applied online. I interviewed at Mochi Health in May 2026
Interview
The interview was pretty simple. The questions asked were normal and context related, nothing extraordinary. I just did the initial screener call with the hiring manager. This was online via Zoom call.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How are u, 2 GK questions of dice roll probability, tell me about yourself, why mochi, why start-up, are you interviewing somewhere else.
Thank you for interviewing with us. We wish you the best on your search. :]
Interview
The interview process started with a take-home design challenge, which candidates were asked to complete within three days. After submitting the challenge, I was invited to a phone screen. Shortly after the phone interview, I received a rejection.
Thank you for you for applying to Mochi and completing the take-home challenge. We wish you the best on your job search and if you find another position that interests you, we encourage you to apply.
Interviewing with Mochi Health was a frustrating waste of time. I got repeated calls from different HR reps for the same role. The team did not share information internally. They asked me to design a take-home prototype for a core feature with no clear guidelines. After I spent days on the assignment, I received a generic automated rejection email with no feedback within few hours. The video interview focused on probability puzzles (I don't know how it is related to a designer role) instead of my design work or process. DO NOT APPLY!!! It is simply not worth your time.
