Started with a phone interview. I was offered an in person interview on the same day. Interview with a manager then the owner. The owner asked some personal questions that were inappropriate.

Question 1
Owner asked inappropriate political questions and showed some extreme viewpoints that were concerning.
I applied online. I interviewed at MobileWash (Bellflower, CA)
Interview
Applied online through Indeed and received a phone call the next business day to schedule an interview for that afternoon.
If you're reading this and considering applying for an SEO position, don't. Instead, run as fast and as far away as possible from this company. You'll be greeted during the interview by a panel of three people, one of whom will attempt to dominate the conversation and ultimately make you question why you decided to apply at all.
Rather than being asked questions about your qualifications and skills, you'll be bombarded with questions about how to fix their business + give quick fixes. Your knowledge about digital marketing and SEO will be tested, but not in a good way. Not to mention that they'll insinuate that you should pick up SEMRush + AhRefs (almost $300/month in tools) out of your own pocket and not be compensated for it. They'll ask you about data from Google Search Console and Google Analytics that you won't have since you don't work for them at this stage. When you do try to give them a recommendation or an area where you think that they can improve, one of the interviewers will tell you that what they're doing is correct. In fact, during my interview, one of them did say, "I just want to make sure that you know more about SEO than I do." Oh did I mention that he'll also be hitting his juul non-stop during your interview and taking phone calls without stepping away? Additionally, don't mention anything about doing anything about trying to help people or filling a need. I mention that and was greeted promptly with, "[Explicit] helping people, that doesn’t matter. I just want their money."
If you've ever wanted to see interview red flags in action, this is the place to be.
Overall, the combination of poor interview format, a rude panelist and an otherwise cramped office makes this company one to avoid. Definitely, do not take your skills here, there are much better options in the area and you can aim to do much better. Frankly speaking, from the disorganization that I saw and the lack of professionalism, I think their business will either stagnate or crash within the next couple of years.
