I had a phone interview and they told me about the company and didn't ask me much about my experience at all. I feel this was unfair because I feel they are not hiring people with families because their benefits are $20,000 a year off for anyone with a spouse and children. Their policy is they pay 100% of healthcare for the employee and 30% for dependents. I have diabetes, type 1, and a wife and 5 kids, 3 with asthma. I'd be at a $20-25,000 annual disadvantage compared to most other companies. They are going to discourage family formation, births, etc. by this policy. San Francisco is a very expensive place for a family and most companies pay 80-85% for dependents, some 100, so this will lead to it being very hard for anyone with a spouse without benefits at their job or homemakers or children with pre-existing conditions. They pay 30, or a significant cut in after tax salary per month. I was rejected for asking about this and how long it would last.

The interview process was easy and efficient, and the team couldn't have been friendlier. Applied through their head of HR, had several calls and informal meetings with her before coming onsite for formal Interview. Signed a standard NDA, was offered a wide assortment of beverages, before being taken to a comfortable private office. I met with three different people within the company and received a very clear understanding of their product and goals. The process is ongoing but from what I've seen so far it's been a great experience!
