The hiring manager was extremely nice and praised the company culture. Didn’t share much about the particular office I was working at which was slightly concerning, since she was internal. Within days I was interviewing with the team for an initial phone screening, and then brought in a few days later to meet with the team. It was a 2 hour interview with the team, and it seemed to have gone quite well. They asked about start date, salary requirements, and let me know they’d be in touch by the end of the week. After carefully crafted thank-yous to five people, the recruiter said she’d be in touch as soon as she had feedback (and to keep her posted on other offers, typically another great sign.) She called me Monday, out of the blue, to share that the team had decided to move in another direction. However, when I kindly asked if there was any feedback, she said, there’s no feedback. After all of the time interviewing, and mixed signals, I would expect there to be additional phone feedback. All interview questions were responded to, wow, I’ve never thought of that, what a great answer, etc. This is a confusing one! Seem like a great company with awesome culture but ultimately a confusing experience where I did not feel valued
