      Analyst Interview

      Mar 12, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Saint Louis, MO
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Mercy (Saint Louis, MO)

      Interview

The total process was 4 rounds: Initial HR phone screen, phone call with team manager, personality assessment and finally face to face interview (1/2 day meeting with several people at a time). Everyone at Mercy seems very nice and truly respects their co-workers and the overall mission of Mercy.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Lots of specific questions about work I've done in my previous roles, what I've done to improve myself and how well I work with others. Mercy definitely wants to hire people who fit in with their mission and values so be sure to mention you like what they stand for.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Mercy

      Interview

Smooth process on the HR side, with streamlined interview scheduling and good engagement from the recruiter. There was an initial online personality test screen -- I have fun doing those lol, but it was unclear what they were evaluating or what the results would be used for. The HR phone screen asked 4 behavioral interview questions that aligned with Mercy's values -- pretty standard stuff. But the very first question they asked is whether I was comfortable with religion and prayer in the workplace. This felt a little awkward since I'm relatively agnostic but I guess I appreciate the heads up that religion is outwardly present in this organization. Disappointing/frustrating interview experience with the hiring manager. I felt like he hadn't even reviewed my resume, as he asked me to describe very specific experience that I didn't even have. But there were no interview curveballs -- basically just "tell me about your experience with xyz." As we wrapped up the phone interview (which felt very rushed), I asked if I could pose a few more questions via email and he said that was fine and shared his contact info. But I received no response to my follow up email -- completely ghosted. 2 weeks later I checked in with the recruiter who did not have an update.  2 weeks after that, I received an automated disconnect email from the applicant tracking system. Not even a personal note.
