The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Meltwater (Austin, TX) in Aug 2019
Interview
DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE IN SALES
- Phone screening with recruiter - told me they looked for people with SDR experience and OTE is $90 - $100k. Well Glassdoor says lower $70s
- Went to an open house interview. Some drinks and appetizers served. Said there was a product demo. Not really the case. Just some company culture stuff and who was Meltwater. Some candidates, including myself, had pink dots on their name tags. I jokingly asked if this was for the people who sucked and should not be considered. They said no, it was for people applying for Customer Success/Account Manager. Was open to either in phone screening, so okay understandable.
- Go to group interview and it was not for a Sales Consultant or CX/AM position. It was to start off as an SDR and move your way up. I should note everyone I talked to there was their first job out of college. They were hiring, because they just had a lot of turnover.
- Anyways they only hired those with zero experience straight out of college. I genuinely believe the pink dots were for those experienced and I was actually right when I was joking.
If you are straight out of college, I would not recommend working here. Read the reviews on how much you work here. Get a job that pays a minimum of $45k to be an SDR. The job is far too stressful.
If you have experience, need not apply.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
60 second pitch on something you're passionate about
made it past the screening, learned from hiring manager they expect 150 dials per day, which is insane. you are a full cycle rep, how are you supposed to run any demos and close any deals if you are dialling 150 times per day. Not to mention the base pay is trash. what a joke.

Interview
Very kind and supportive team! However, I felt that the interviewer was not quite engaged from the beginning. Overall, great experience and enjoyed the process. The interview left me feeling excited about the opportunity and what it would be like to work at the company!

Interview
HR Screen: 30 minutes
Panel Interview: 60 minutes
Friendly team. Mock sales interview for the panel. Clear about expectations (need to hustle in this role, not a chill 9-5). Asked a mix of behavioural questions and motivation questions.
