Medical Informatics Engineering interview questions

First interview was with a recruiter, then with VC Firms HR people, then took a personality test and reviewed results, then met with hiring manager. After that, they went dark, then scheduled another meeting with the hiring manager, then cancelled since they found another candidate that was further along in the process.

Had a quick conversation in which the job and the salary was discussed. Was moved to a second round and met with two people from the team and passed this. The next rounds would be a take home assignment and review of the assignment with members of the team. I passed the second round and later in the day they reached out and shared the salary again which had changed to be 30% lower than what was initially discussed despite having spoken about salary in the previous conversation and having all of the requirements and qualifications and doing well in the interview. Extremely unprofessional and a terrible look for a company so I declined to continue since they were dishonest or unprepared in the initial conversation.
