After a brief self-introduction that largely mirrored my resume, the recruiter quickly moved to “do you have any questions for me,” with no meaningful follow-up or deeper exploration of my background. This gave the clear impression that my experience had not been reviewed in any detail and that the conversation was not designed to meaningfully evaluate fit.
Rather than an interview, the interaction felt like a checkbox screening with minimal engagement or curiosity about my qualifications. I expected a deeper discussion based on my experience, but the conversation ended up feeling prematurely closed off.
The recruiter spoke positively about company culture; however, this was noticeably disconnected from widely available employee reviews, which paint a significantly more critical picture and raise questions about internal alignment with external messaging.
Overall, the process felt transactional, underprepared, and disengaged, with limited evidence of structured interviewing or genuine interest in candidate evaluation. This aligns with broader employee reviews that point to systemic issues in consistency and professionalism within the hiring process. This interaction did not leave me with any interest in moving forward in the process.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MeUndies (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
The company cold reached out to me after discovering me on LinkedIn. They had a job listing up, but told me they weren't finding the right person through applications. After 3 interviews with VPs and C-suite execs, I was ghosted. Our conversations were all enthusiastic and thorough and we discussed next steps. The culture of ghosting candidates after multiple rounds of interviews, especially for a senior level role is incredibly disrespectful to the candidates' time. It takes less than 2 minutes to send a response to a follow up email to let the candidate know you're not moving forward. I was very disappointed by this experience.

Question 1
Was primarily asked about my breadth of creative experience.
I applied online. I interviewed at MeUndies (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
Interviewed with over 15 people individually or in small groups of 2. Got down to two of us, and then I was told I was overqualified. HR was great. They kept me informed all along the way and moved along quickly. It felt like HR really wanted me to join the team.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Lots of detailed questions around my specialty. Manager levels and directors were very open about what was happening at the company. Also questions about how I align senior leadership which felt like a red flag.
