I applied through university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Marsh (New York, NY) in Oct 2017
Interview
I had to answer a few questions online using a video recording software, followed by two Skype interviews and a day of in-person interviews. Essentially they wanted to find out A) if I had the skills, experience and desire to do the job, and B) if I was a team player (aka someone who “plays nice in the sandbox) who would fit the corporate culture. In years past I’ve heard they use difficult “brain teaser” questions, but I didn’t get any of those. All in all it was a great experience. The one bit of advice I would give MMC is to be more transparent with candidates they were not interested in hiring. Some of my colleagues at school interviewed for the same role and didn’t hear back for many weeks.

Question 1
They asked me “if you were to describe MMC’s business model to a complete stranger, what would you say”. I thought it was a great question to ask, especially for someone seeking an HR role.

Interview
There was an initial phone screening with a TA recruiter, followed by in-person interviews with the hiring manager and lead. There was also the opportunity to have further phone calls to clarify role. Verbal offer made by TA recruiter on phone after all interviews completed.
