I applied for the role online and the internal recruiter contacted for a phone screen with the internal recruiter, which went well. She said the hiring Manager will be calling me, the following week and I heard from him. He spoke with a very thick foreign accent which was hard to understand. i still thought the interview went well, as he said, "the HR recruiter will be calling you to find a time for your come and meet with us next week as this week we are working from home couple days as the team is moving from one floor to another in our bldg.". Also the hiring manager asked which year did I graduate from my undergrad - I thought he was probing to find my age by asking me that questions because I have an MBA from top tier Business school in the USA and bring in 10+ years of experience and skills (hence he had no business asking me when I graduated from my undergrad) Anyway...I thought great, I made it to the next round of interview and waited for the internal recruiter's call. The following week, I got an email message from the company saying..I did not make the cut. Why bother to tell candidates that they will be coming for the onsite interview, when you have no plan to invite them? Not cool. I was really disappointed and contacted the internal recruiter to see if there is anything that can be done and whether i can touch base. The recruiter sent me multiple emails saying she would LOVE to get in touch with me to give me some insights. She asked me if that Thurs or Fri would work for 30 minutes. I set some time aside to connect with her but she never followed through her promises to connect on the phone. Overall A horrible experience, I would never work for this unprofessional company. The company is not the only one making a decision while hiring, we (top talents) are also deciding whether we wan to work for a company like yours. From my conversation with the hiring manager it sounded like the finance Dept. is in lots of chaos, Unorganized, old fashioned (as for the ERP tools, everything is done in excel etc.) - NOT very attractive place to work in.
