I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MarketFactory in Jan 2019
Interview
I did a 45 minute initial call where I was asked somewhat challenging questions about what I was looking for in a new role, likes and dislikes in current role, strengths and weaknesses and what various previous managers would say about me. Then I had to submit a financial modeling sampling, which was nice that I didn't have to do a new case. Then I had a 2 hour in person follow up where we went through my resume in detail.
The team was really helpful in answering my questions throughout the process, and as I evaluated my offer. It was clear that company leadership is very invested in every new hire, even at the manager level.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at MarketFactory (New York, NY) in Jul 2017
Interview
Very well thought out, direct and clear questions as well as allowing flexibility for human creativity. Very kind people, not the type of interview where you feel like you are being screened, rather more of a friendly Q&A.
I applied through other source. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at MarketFactory (New York, NY) in Nov 2015
Interview
My process was: phone call with the CTO. Onsite with 2 technical people (design question). Then a deep dive into my resume with the CTO and the then head of customer success.
The thing to know about MarketFactory's hiring process is that they use a process called "Top Grade." Google it. Be prepared to talk about every job on your resume, why you left, what you accomplished, your manager's name, how your manager would rate you, and what they'd say about you. They ask for contact information for every manager for every job -- and they do call them. So if you can, work out in advance which names you want to mention, and whose numbers you want to give out. You can avoid having them speak to people who might say something negative. I found the Top Grade process to be very liberating. Some people find it intrusive. In any case, it's an easy process to game if you know about it going in.
