Interview Process
The selection of temporary personnel under the HMM category will follow a transparent and merit-based process to ensure that only qualified and suitable candidates are appointed. The proposed interview process is as follows:
Advertisement of Vacancies
The Consulate General of India, Jeddah, will publish vacancy announcements through its official website, social media platforms, and local Indian community channels. The advertisement will clearly mention eligibility criteria, job responsibilities, required qualifications, and remuneration details.
Shortlisting of Applications
Applications received will be screened based on minimum eligibility criteria such as educational qualifications, relevant experience, and technical skills. A shortlist of eligible candidates will be prepared for each role.
Interview Panel Formation
An internal committee will be constituted at the Consulate comprising senior officials, including subject matter experts relevant to the advertised positions (e.g., finance, IT, administration).
Interview & Skill Assessment
Accountant: Interview to assess understanding of financial protocols, budgeting, and accounting software. Candidates may be asked to complete a basic practical task (e.g., preparing a sample financial report or budget entry).
Arabic Interpreter: Evaluation of translation and interpretation skills through verbal and written tests (Arabic-English and vice versa), with a focus on administrative and formal vocabulary.
Skilled IT Personnel: Technical interview covering systems management, API development, programming languages, and database handling. A short coding or problem-solving task may be assigned to assess practical ability.
Final Selection
Based on performance in the interview and skill assessments, the panel will prepare a merit list. Selected candidates will be notified and offered the temporary position under the HMM category for the Haj period.
Documentation & Appointment
Selected candidates will be required to submit relevant documents (educational/professional certificates, identification, experience letters) for verification. On successful verification, appointment orders will be issued.
