I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mainstream Boutique (Northborough, MA) in Apr 2021
Interview
Very involved process for the specific location I applied to. I remember using Indeed to initially apply so I definitely took some tough assessments through their process. Once the franchise owner took a look at everything I sent (complete with a cover letter I made, resume, AND assessment results) he reached out over Indeed messenger and later e-mail.
This was all in spring 2021 still during global pandemic so he first gave me about a 30 minute phone interview, first asking me to tell him a little about my background and then talked about his for quite a while, like about 10 minutes of the call. He asked me to explain what kind of hours I would want to work on the job because at the time they were looking for someone to balance in the middle of like part time but not completely fulltime 40 hours type.
I was excited when about an hour after the call he e-mailed to set up an in-person interview at the store location. I went to it and met the franchise owners and was interviewed by the two of them, a husband and wife team owned that location. After about a 20 minute interview, I was introduced to one current staff member, it concluded.
I reached out over e-mail after about 7 days of not hearing feedback and they replied saying they had completed looking over all applicants and while I was close, I was not selected sadly.

I applied online via Facebook. They reached out to me via email within a week. We interviewed in the store which seemed more like a meet-and-greet. Was very casual and inviting.
