      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Mackenzie Investments (Toronto, ON)

      Interview

I applied online on their company website and went through three rounds of interviews: a virtual screening with HR, a virtual interview with the hiring managers, and an in-person interview with the hiring manager and one-up. The entire interview process was smooth, and all interviewers were professional, representing the company in the best possible light. The HR interview was a typical get-to-know-you session, with a focus on how my experience aligned with the job. The interviewer also provided a detailed overview of the role and the department. The second interview involved situational questions directly relevant to the position. The final interview felt more informal and revisited topics discussed earlier. HR was responsive and kept me updated throughout the process, ensuring I was never left in the dark. Overall, these interviews were among the best I have experienced, thanks to the smooth process and the professionalism of everyone involved.

Tell me about your work experience and how it aligns with the position. Why do you want this job? What is your salary expectation? What would you do if... (situational question). Tell me about a situation where you have to... (another situational question).

      Interview

The recruiter initially mentioned that they would provide an update the following week, but they have not reached out since. Despite sending two follow-up emails to check on the status, there has been no response from them. This lack of communication leaves the situation unclear, making it difficult to determine whether the hiring process is still ongoing, if there have been delays, or if they have moved forward with another candidate.
