First round: A standard HR screening focused on why I was interested in the position and organization, along with confirming a few background details.
Second round: A panel interview that felt misaligned. The first question asked was regarding PMI processes. The issue I have is, you have two non PMP certified directors asking a PMP certified candidate this question. PMI has 49 processes, typically discussed at the process-group level rather than individually. Additionally, they did not specify whether they were referring to Agile, traditional, or hybrid methodologies, which made it difficult to give appropriately framed responses. The two directors shouldn't be asking questions, that they are not exactly familiar with. They are not certified and that was evident in the way they asked the question.
Overall, the interview felt challenging not because of the content, but because the questioning did not seem well-structured to assess PMP-level knowledge. This made the experience disappointing as the directors clearly did not qualify to be asking questions regarding material they don't fully understand.
