I applied online. I interviewed at Lumen (Seattle, WA) in Aug 2020
Interview
Casual conversation - Tactic discussions etc. We actually only had a phone interview due to the covid. They explained what they were looking for and asked if I was still interested. I feel they were looking for an older person - I am just out of school.

Question 1
No specific questions just general "how would you work with the customer who had this and that , how would you upsell ? "
I applied online. I interviewed at Lumen (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2024
Interview
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! I was interested in a sales role. I have 20 years sales experience with 10 of them in telecom. You will have to build a cover letter and apply online, which takes about 2 hours. I'm totally fine with that part. BUT...you will then be asked to engage in a "20-30 minute questions and games interview", which is automated by a 3rd party. It's not 20-30 minutes! The questions and games take 2-3 hours. I quit the 3rd party questions and games interview before I finished. You have to do all of this BEFORE even speaking to someone about the role. I also have questions people! What if I think the role is not a good fit for me? Lumen thinks they're hiring astronauts...this ain't NASA! And only 52% of the employees would refer this company to a friend. WASTE OF TIME

Question 1
One of the 3rd party questions was, "how do you build trust in relationships?"...well, first of all I talk to people so we can get to know each other. I also don't tell people something is going to take 20 minutes when it actually takes 2+ hours.
