The process was straightforward. Asked generic behavioral questions, such as 'Tell me about yourself.' Very easy to get the job, especially when they are understaffed. Decent starter job, make sure to emphasize and establish how many hours per week.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lowes Foods (Surfside Beach, Horry, SC) in Nov 2025
Interview
Applied online and received an email to set up a video interview with Patrick Ryan. Personally thought this was so impersonal - but okay, it that's how Lowe's foods interviews people? My interview lasted all but 5 minutes with Patrick not really saying anything other than "you've done customer service your entire life, so I assume you understand the position."
I love shopping at Lowe's Foods and would love to work there, their stores are definitely a cut above other grocery stores in the area, however, after the interview experience, I just might not frequent their stores so much.
I asked the next steps & was told he would pass my info along to Meghan and she would call me for a 2nd interview & then a drug test & background test, to which I was looking forward to & thought I would be hearing back & move along in the hiring process.
However, I got nothing! Crickets!! Not even a "no thank you, we've chosen other candidates."
So many companies want you to jump through hoops and have a degree to do menial positions, but don't have the decency to notify you either way on the results of your interview. It's so concerning to me.
Very simple, straightforward interview. I applied online and got an interview about a week and a half later. Great job for high schoolers. This was one of my first jobs, and I enjoyed working here. Low pay, though.
