I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Tucson, AZ) in Jun 2012
Interview
The phone call I received to come in for an interview was so hard to hear, possibly because the HR manager speaks so softly. I came in the next day, and the interview went well and quite normal. They ask you the same type of questions you'll hear at any corporate company interview. Before the interview even began I was told that I would have a second interview with the assistant manager in a few days.
The HR manager, the one who did my first interview, was very nice but a little but soft spoken. I answered the questions with ease as with my second interview. The assistant manager was much more talkative.
Overall, just be prepared with some good answers to typical questions, be happy and friendly, and make them know that you want to work there for a while, they like that.

Interview
The interview was a brief 15-minute discussion of the hours you are available and scenario questions to see if you are a natural problem solver. It was low-stress and I had the chance to ask many of my own questions.

Interview
It was very casual and at the store. I was asked about 10 questions by one of the store managers. I did a drug test at the end of the interview after being offered a position.

What are some of your strengths?
Name a time you faced a challenge in the work place and how you solved it
Very easy people to talk to, don’t need to dress up for a fancy interview. Can wear nice jeans and a top. They ask very obvious open ended questions that is very easy to tell what answer you would like to give them.
