      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Loom (Los Angeles, CA) in Nov 2018

      Interview

As another designer mentioned, there wasn't really a process at all and the questions weren't really relevant to the role. After the interview I followed up at least three or so times, thanking them for their time with an interest to learn more as to how the team works and what problems I might be tasked to solve. I was ghosted each of the correspondences, only to later find out that my Loom videos had been watched by someone employed by the company. While I can't assume it was intended to be negative, the red flags went soaring and I'd be dishonest not to say how invasive this felt. The staff would eventually apologize to an email I had sent, but I never got a single response to my interview experience or a follow up with any sort of status of my candidacy. Presume this is what comes with explosive growth, but it doesn't necessarily exempt the company from a rather disappointing experience.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Generic and zero thought as to what my process is, strengths are, what problems I enjoy or may have solved, nothing to to extent of how humanity and empathy may weigh in ones take on the craft.

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Loom in Jul 2021

      Interview

Recruiter call followed by a touchpoint with their staff designer and VP of Design. Rather than a live portfolio presentation, I was asked to record Looms for my case studies and send them in for review. Following that, there was a design challenge, talks with Product, and a chance to meet the design team at large.

      Question 1

How do you deal with ambiguity in the design process?
